Who should take this course?
This program teaches the skills and concepts required to identify stress, prevent accidents, and properly deal with emergency situations encountered by divers. Any student who is 15 years of age or older may take the SSI Stress and Rescue course.
You must have current certification in AED, CPR, First Aid, as well as Oxygen Provider for diving emergencies. SSI’s React Right is usually taught in conjunction with the SSI Stress and Rescue course.
What will you learn?
Identifying stress in yourself and other divers is one of the best ways to prevent problems and accidents from happening in the first place. Once a problem occurs, you’ll be ready to step in and assist with Emergency Medical Aid until professional, medically trained personnel can arrive on the scene to take over.
